Yamaha issues a recall for the 2015-2017 FZ-09, FJ-09 and XSR900 motorcycles. Loose handlebar nuts and bolts are the concern.

Yamaha has issued a recall of FZ-09, FJ-09 and XSR900 models built from 2015 to 2017. Loose handlebars could pose a safety issue on a total of 22,433 machines in the states. “The lower handlebar holder may loosen due to a painting issue and the inadequate application of the thread-locking agent. If the handlebars are not properly secured to the motorcycle, loss of vehicle control may result, increasing the risk of a crash.”
